BHETA praised by Trade Association Forum

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has won praise for ‘Best Practice in a Commercial Initiative’ from the Trade Association Forum (TAF) for its ‘Meet the Buyer’ initiative.

TAF assesses, rewards and promotes best practice amongst trade associations in the UK, supported by leading National Awarding Organisation NCFE and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Commenting on this latest recognition BHETA home enhancement sector director Will Jones said: “BHETA now has a great reputation for retail engagement throughout the industries we represent.

“It can be hard even for big brands to get their latest innovations in front of the top retail buyers – let alone smaller players – in these times when everyone is under such time pressures. Equally, it’s a tough ask for buyers to see every company with every new idea. The result is that all parties really appreciate a well organised, time efficient opportunity to interact, be inspired and agree new listings.

‘Meet the Buyer’ is now a well-recognised and commercially successful flagship for BHETA and it’s great to get the recognition of our peers.”

BHETA home improvement sector director Paul Grinsell added: “It’s great to see ‘Meet the Buyer’ acknowledged and praised for the level of added value it gives to our membership. Compliance, advice and practical help are all very important parts of our offer but the level of access we provide for our members, enabling them to add sales at home and abroad, really sets us apart. It’s also fantastic for the whole team to have its success recognised in this way.”
