The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has launched its established member credit forum programme as a free service for all members as of 2021.
BHETA credit forums comprise regular updates on all current credit and risk management issues in the retail sector, available via Zoom and presented by Let’s Talk Credit, Experian, and AON Credit Insurance Brokers. The sessions take place four times per year and are open to credit control and finance professionals from member companies.
The agenda includes the current trading climate, specific retail accounts and how they are performing against trading terms; topical issues such as corporate purchases and reinvestment; as well as a general overview of the retail sector. Attendees are also can also submit their own topics for discussion.
BHETA’s Chief Operating Officer, Will Jones commented, “In the current financial climate, many businesses need help managing their credit risk. Our forum brings together industry experts and members to gain a shared understanding of the current market and customer challenges, with the objective of finding effective solutions.
“Prior to Covid-19, these sessions took place face to face and BHETA made a charge to cover the costs of presenter travel and refreshments for all delegates. The sessions grew in popularity all the time and have always been friendly, collaborative, and positive.
“Now that we have found that they can be delivered equally effectively online and that that attendance has grown exponentially as a result, it seemed appropriate to open them to all BHETA members as a free service.”
