At the seventh Meet The Buyer event in BHETA’s series, buyers from The Range were looking to source products or promotions suitable for the 88-strong chain, which offers more than 65,000 products across 16 departments including housewares, DIY, furniture, lighting, arts & crafts and garden. The event took place at The Future Inn Hotel in Plymouth International Business Park.

New and existing The Range suppliers were allocated 20-minute appointments to present ‘innovative products capable of delivering high volume sales at competitive prices and/or complementing existing product ranges’.

Commenting on the event, The Range buyer Jim Chadwick said: “All the buyers found it a productive day, particularly where suppliers crossed over categories and it allowed a more complete view of their offers. We found some good new products and will look to make it an annual event.”

BHETA housewares sector director William Jones said: “The Range product offering embraces everything that BHETA members have to offer, so this was a very exciting opportunity for home improvement and home enhancement members alike.”
