Housewares companies exhibiting on the BHETA stand at the recent BBC Good Food Show enjoyed “an exceptional result”, according to the trade association.

BHETA booked space at the show – which ran at the end of last month at Birmingham’s NEC – to provide a cost-effective way for a number of members to exhibit, and all 15 available spaces on the stand were quickly signed up.
Now BHETA says the initiative was “a resounding success”, not only in terms of sales but because of the exposure achieved for exhibitors.
The busiest day was Saturday, but the stand – under the banner of The Cook Shop – attracted a constant flow of visitors throughout the five days.
Says BHETA housewares sector director Will Jones: “We were always confident that the show would be a success for us, but in fact it ended up being an exceptional result that has exceeded all expectations.
“This will pave the way for similar BHETA initiatives that will provide a channel for our members to engage directly with the buying public,” he added.
