Bear Grylls signs up for products licensing programme

Brand licensing agency Beanstalk has signed up British adventurer Bear Grylls for representation.

Building on the brand loyalty enjoyed by the writer and television presenter (widely known for Emmy award-winning television shows ‘Man Vs Wild’ and ‘Born Survivor’), Beanstalk will work closely with Bear Grylls Ventures to develop a licensing programme in Europe and North America that will cover a broad range of categories, including apparel, accessories and outdoor products.

Bear Grylls Ventures (BGV) is a management and production company that manages all television, film, books, licensing and endorsement deals for Bear.

Rupert Tate, ceo of Bear Grylls Ventures, said: “Bear is admired by adults and children alike, and is a truly original and inspiring individual. As a result of his unique and diverse background and experiences, Bear has become the leading global adventure specialist around the world.

“His vision and reputation will transfer perfectly into a lifestyle consumer products programme that celebrates his individuality and allows consumers to share his love of adventure. We are very happy for Beanstalk to join us on this exciting journey as we develop this unique brand.”

Bear is currently hosting the hit adventure show ‘Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls’ for Channel 4. He is the youngest ever chief scout to the UK Scout Association and is an honorary colonel to the Royal Marines Commandos.
