Barista & Co introduces new ‘HUB’ concept

Barista & Co’s HUB is designed to offer retailers a new concept in coffee retail.

The HUB is a partnership that Barista & Co has invested in to provide retailers with a unique space enabling customers to learn about coffee, products and what it takes to make their perfect coffee at home. Barista & Co wants stores to feel confident in their product/coffee knowledge and customers to feel confident in their purchase.

The HUB will benefit partners which include premium department stores, shopping centres, fashion & lifestyle stores, food festivals and lifestyle events. The purpose of the HUB is to encourage a broader range of consumers into the world of specialty coffee and equipment.

Barista & Co want to work in partnership with retailers and support profitable growth of the coffee category. Retailers have three in-store point of sale kits to choose from ranging from free demo products, interactive learning aids (through a QR code) and free table fixtures to retail ready bags of whole bean coffee and in-store grinder.

Founder and owner of Barista & Co, James Gray, said: “We have seen a massive growth in consumer demand for specialty coffee, specifically as people are working from home more. The challenge is that coffee products have often been treated as decorative tabletop within retail, and manufacturers do not have a great deal of coffee knowledge. As roasters and Specialty Coffee Association members we are uniquely placed to make brewing great coffee accessible. We focus on our three pillars to deliver an excellent cup of coffee; roast fresh, grind fresh and brew fresh. HUB now means we can put this offer in retail and with our live events bring the category to life and increase footfall while customers try our award-winning coffee and equipment. We have some amazing partners launching HUB and we hope to reach 25 HUBs by the middle of next year.”
