The Home Accents showcase will become a permanent zone of the show, where it will be located in Hall 3. The area will cover products including designer furniture, lighting and mirrors, soft furnishings, decorative home accessories, contemporary art and textiles.

Organiser Emap Connect says the move has been driven by both exhibitors and visitors stipulating the need for a higher-end lifestyle offering alongside more traditional home interiors.

Said event director Roz McGuinness: “The launch will satisfy numerous existing exhibitors and open the doors to a wealth of new suppliers, which want to target independent retailers while maintaining exposure to the multiples and department stores.”

Autumn Fair 2011 takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from September 4 to 7.
