Asda Living names next sites

Lincoln, Durham and Tottenham, north London, are set to be the next locations to see Asda Living store openings.

The new branches will be launched in October, and there will be a further opening in November in Dartford, Kent. The stores will bring the total number of Asda Living outlets to 13, and mark the start of Asda’s ambitious programme to expand its dedicated non-food concept to 300.

Asda says the Asda Living offer of George clothing and homewares has been hugely successful. In contrast, Tesco has reportedly experienced mixed results from its Tesco Homeplus standalone non-food store experiment. The retailer has six outlets so far and is said to be putting off the opening of the next until next year.
