High street chain Argos is looking to recruit more than 10,000 seasonal workers for the Christmas period.
Customer advisors, stock assistants and Fast Track drivers (for Argos’ store-to-customer door distribution service) are being sought to support over 840 stores across the UK.
The vacancies are available in: England (8,436), Scotland (878), Wales (531) and Northern Ireland (381). Interested candidates can apply for all roles at www.argos.careers/xmas
Initial contracts for all vacancies are for around three to four months, with the potential for some roles to become permanent at the end of the season, where vacancies exist. Recruits will be offered a minimum of 10 hours per week (minimum of six hours for weekend staff).
Argos director of retail and customer operations Steve Carson said: “The Christmas period is naturally an extremely busy and exciting time of year for Argos and our ability to offer more than 60,000 products for the whole family is why millions of people shop with us over the festive season.”
The multiple retailer serves around 120 million customer transactions throughout its store network every year, with 95% of the population living less than 10 miles from an Argos store.
