Home Retail Group has confirmed that its first pilot HomeStore&More outlet will open in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire this year.
The group, owner of Argos and Homebase, bought a stake in Irish operation Home Store + More in the spring and is now looking to replicate the idea in the UK in a bid to grow its homewares business. Home Store + More, with two stores in Ireland, sells cookware, electricals and bedwear.
Along with the 20,000sq ft Aylesbury site the group is also reported to be considering Cambridge, Harlow, Lakeside and Cheltenham as other locations for pilot stores.
