Amefa backs out of Spring Fair to boost in-store support

Amefa is to withdraw from next year’s Spring Fair in Birmingham, explaining that it intends to redirect its resources towards supporting retailers more in a challenging period for retail.

“We’ve given this a great deal of thought over the past few months,” says managing director Martin Russell, “and after much discussion with some key buyers within the industry it’s clear our support would be more effective channelled through retailers to help them through these tougher times, with point of sale, promotional material, product and brand development.”

The company says it will also be focussing on key strategic exhibitions, both in the UK and Europe, “which are targeted and growing in popularity”.

Amefa has developed a one-stop shop for cutlery, with the Amefa brand, and knives through the Richardson Sheffield brand.
