Following the news that the USA is the Partner Country for German trade show Ambiente in 2015, show organiser Messe Frankfurt has given a sneak preview of the 2015 Partner Country presentation.
At a ceremony held earlier this year to announce the news, Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said: “We’re delighted that USA will be next year’s Partner Country of the world’s leading trade fair for the consumer goods industry. As hosts, we will offer long-standing and new exhibitors from the ‘land of opportunity’ the perfect setting for a successful Partner Country presentation. Ambiente visitors can already look forward to an impressive appearance by the new Partner Country.”
At the same ceremony, Kevin C. Milas, Consul General of the USA said: “Ambiente is an outstanding platform for US home products companies that want to strengthen their position in international markets. We’re excited about our upcoming cooperation as Partner Country with Messe Frankfurt for 2015, and we look forward to showcasing cutting-edge American interiors, housewares and outdoor design products.”
Dennis Smith, President Messe Frankfurt North America, added: “For decades, Ambiente has been the premier European showcase for US manufacturers to present their newest collections and designs in the product areas of dining, living and giving. We’re honoured to be announced as Partner Country USA at Ambiente 2015 and pledge that the US presentation will encompass the American spirit and surpass expectations on design elements that Ambiente is so well known for around the world”.
Preparations for the The Partner Country presentation, which will be on display to visitors in the Foyer of Hall 4.1, are now in full swing. A special Partner Country Exhibit will be held, created by Scott Henderson of New York-based design studio Scott Henderson Inc., to showcase US companies and products.
Nicolette Naumann, Vice President Ambiente/Tendence said: “Scott Henderson is an excellent designer, especially when it comes to consumer goods. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to implement his creative ideas and to show the USA in an impressive light at Ambiente.”
For his concept, Scott Henderson has drawn inspiration from “a New England seaside, with the authentic and truly American Adirondack Chairs facing the serenity of the sea”. In this setting, the products of selected US exhibitors will be shown on tables resembling plants growing out of the ground.
The Partner Country programme is an important aspect of the Ambiente exhibitor and visitor programme. It includes an extensive line-up of events, the Partner Country presentation and the special Partner Country Day with a variety of activities.
At this year’s Ambiente, a total of 4,724 exhibitors from 89 countries showed their wares to 144,000 trade visitors from over 160 countries. The USA was one of the top 15 exhibitor nations. The next Ambiente will be held at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from February 13-17.
