Alessi partners with Harrods

Alessi has been invited to take part in the Timeless Design exhibition curated by Harrods to mark the 12th edition of London Design Festival.

The Italian housewares supplier will present two new versions of the Juicy Salif Citrus squeezer designed by Philippe Starck, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Alessi will present an installation in the Cookshop on the second floor of the London department store including a two metre sculptural Juicy Salif. Five original prototypes of the design will be exhibited from the Alessi Museum in Crusinallo, alongside archival imagery documenting the project’s origins. A limited edition of 50 Juicy Salif in white, with a special inscription for Harrods’ customers, will be available to buy throughout the duration of the exhibition. The installation will also include a photo booth with bespoke artwork, where visitors can take #juicyselfie, and a juicing bar where they can squeeze their own lemonade using a Juicy Salif.

The Timeless Design exhibition will run throughout the Harrods from September 12-27, with international companies including Alessi, Fritz Hansen, Ligne Roset, Fornasetti, B&B Italia, The Rug Company and Knoll presenting previously unseen pieces from company archives, limited edition products and exclusive launches.

Guided tours of the exhibition will run daily and are open to the public; registration is not required.
