A new beginning for Stow Green

Housewares supplier Stow Green issued a statement to its customers today (Wednesday January 10), following Monday’s announcement by fellow supplier Eddingtons that it had acquired selected Stow Green assets including stock and IP.

The statement said: ‘We are delighted to be able to announce that Stow Green has been acquired by Eddingtons. As of January 8, we are part of Eddingtons’ strong family of brands.

‘We are sure that Stow Green will continue to go from strength to strength and maintain the quality of products and service which have been the hallmark of the company for many years.

‘Stow Green will pay any outstanding invoice for goods delivered prior to the 5th and no doubt the purchasing team at Eddingtons will be in contact with you later this week.

‘May we take this opportunity of thanking you for service and support in the past, and wish you the very best for the future relationship, as Stow Green moves forward.’

Stow Green was founded in the heart of the Cotswolds in 1975 by Gordon Griffith. It supplied kitchenware and gifting products to independent retailers throughout the UK & Ireland.

Hungerford-based Eddingtons was founded by in 2000. In 2015 it acquired Epicurean Europe and last year it bought Gilberts Food Equipment.
