‘We do the most business’, Spring Fair tells pull-out Dexam

Birmingham’s Spring Fair has reacted to the news that Dexam will not be exhibiting at the 2010 event by pointing out the huge volume of business done at the show.

‘We do the most business’, Spring Fair tells pull-out Dexam

Roz McGuinness, sales director of Spring Fair Kitchen & Dining, told HousewaresLive.net: “While we respect Dexam’s decision, we would point out that more business results from this show than any other home or gift event in the UK.

“It is estimated that £2bn-worth of orders are written at Spring Fair itself or in the weeks that follow it. The show usually attracts some 70,000 visitors, from home and overseas, who come to see the latest ranges from the leading UK suppliers and international brands.

“2010 will see some exciting developments within Kitchen & Dining at Spring Fair International. Retailers and suppliers are very positive about the changes and new features planned for the show.”

Dexam announced recently that it would be pulling out of Spring Fair as it felt the cost would be better re-allocated into “active programmes of marketing and promotion”.

McGuinness added that Spring Fair looked forward “to welcoming Dexam back to Spring Fair and Autumn Fair in the future”.
