‘Queen of Clean’ Aggie MacKenzie supports Housewares Innovation Awards 2017

We are thrilled to announce that TV presenter and journalist Aggie MacKenzie will be joining the judging panel for the product categories of the Housewares Innovation Awards 2017.

Aggie was head of the Good Housekeeping Institute (the consumer and cookery departments of the magazine) when she was invited in 2003 to take a screen test alongside housekeeper Kim Woodburn for a TV series focused on helping the UK’s most domestically challenged households clean up their acts.

Just a few months later, Channel 4’s ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ became an instant hit with over four million viewers. The show ran for six series, plus two produced in the US. The ‘How Clean?’ format was sold to many countries around the world and the UK version currently airs in 16 of them – from Norway to Namibia.

Aggie is now the gadget tester for food magazine ‘Delicious’, writes about food and travel for ‘Sainsbury’s Magazine’ and has a tips column in ‘My Weekly’ women’s magazine.

She conducts a regular phone-in cleaning advice slot on Radio 5 Live and Dublin’s RTE.  She is also brand ambassador for appliance brand Beko in Ireland and a judge for the Great Taste Awards, which are organised by the Guild of Fine Food and have been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world.

The Housewares Innovation Awards 2017 are organised by www.HousewaresLive.net and Housewares Magazine in conjunction with the Spring Fair. The ceremony takes place at The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on Monday February 6.

The deadline for entries and nominations for the Awards is September 30. It’s really simple to take part: just visit www.housewaresinnovationawards.com, download the relevant form and submit it via the website or by email, post or fax. Questions?
