‘Celebrity MasterChef’ is back on Wednesday

The new series of cookery show ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ kicks off on BBC One at 8pm on Wednesday (June 22).

Twenty famous people will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Pussycat Dolls singer and dancer Kimberley Wyatt, by impressing judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace in series 11.

Tasks include working in a professional kitchen with paying guests and the relay challenge. Those who impress enough to make it to semi-final week must cook a lavish five-course dinner for the Chelsea Pensioners to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

There will be 12 programmes over six weeks, before the 2016 champ is crowned. The contestants are a host of stars from the worlds of acting, sport and showbusiness.

*Singer Simon Webbe of Blue fame

*Former girl group band member Amelle Berrabah of the Sugababes

*Priest, former popstar and broadcaster Richard Coles

*Former ‘EastEnders’ stars Sid Owen and Laila Morse

*Actress Tina Malone, best known for playing foul-mouthed Mimi Maguire in ‘Shameless’

*Actress and style editor Donna Air

*Singer and actress Sinitta

*Actor, writer and presenter Alexis Conran

*TV presenter and author Cherry Healey

*TV presenter and journalist Louise Minchin

*Former TOWIE (The Only Way is Essex) star Amy Childs

*Former England rugby player Neil Back

*Olympic gold medal winning boxer Audley Harrison

*Professional dancer Gleb Savchenko who appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year

*Magician Alexis Conran

*Tommy Cannon, one half of comedy double act Cannon & Ball

*Antiques expert David Harper from ‘Bargain Hunt’, ‘Cash in the Attic’ and ‘Antiques Roadshow’

*Paralympian Liz Johnson

*Vlogger Marcus Butler, who has over four million subscribers to his main YouTube channel, where he can be seen cooking up healthy lunches
