Watson Home Hardware wins cookshop window dressing competition

Watson Home Hardware of Sutton-on-Sea in Lincolnshire has won a cookshop window dressing competition run by wholesaler Home Hardware.

Abbotts DIY of Ottery St. Mary in Devon and Danum Home Hardware of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, were joint runners up.

The contest was introduced this year to support Home Hardware’s Cookshop Catalogue.

All Home Hardware retailers were invited to participate by creating eye-catching window displays. The entries were judged by an independent panel.

Home Hardware said: ‘The overall standard of entry was exceptionally high. We would like to thank all members who participated in the competition.’

Home Hardware bills itself as the largest dealer-owned buying organisation of its kind in the UK for independent hardware stores. Its extensive wholesale distribution services include more than 19,500 products from 300-plus brands.

The group has over 400 members including independent hardware retailers, housewares shops, cookshops, ironmongers and garden centres.

Home Hardware provides national distribution from two centres at Barnstaple in Devon and Bedford in Bedfordshire.
