Housewares Business-to-business magazine for housewares retailers and their suppliers
There was little sign of economic gloom at last week’s AIS spring show, with visitors keeping exhibitors on their toes throughout the three-day event.
“It was a brilliant show, it was busy from start to finish,” AIS housewares and gifts controller David Parkes told HousewaresLive.net. “We’ve had a lot of good feedback from suppliers.”
As usual, the show also provided an opportunity for the presentation of awards to suppliers in five categories, voted for by AIS members. The criteria are quality, sales and service.
Cookware Supplier of the Year was named as Horwoods, while Portmeirion won in the Tabletop category. Kitchenware Supplier of the Year was Eddingtons, and Small Electrical Supplier of the Year EPE.
The special Accolade award for an individual who has given AIS particularly good service went to Richard Young, Denby national sales manager.
