Steamer Trading Cookshop identifies housewares used in episode two of Bake Off

Specialist retailer Steamer Trading Cookshop has again posted a blog on its website of housewares used in the second episode of ‘The Great British Bake Off’, which aired on Tuesday (September 5) on Channel 4.

The theme of the show was Biscuit Week. The blog said: ‘As always, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the kit used, and this week we can confirm that the most used item in biscuit week was… a ruler! We don’t sell those sadly, but we can help with some of the other items you might need.’

The list comprises:

  1. Cooling Racks
  2. Biscuit Cutters & Cookie Cutters
  3. Mixing Bowls – used in the show are the traditional earthenware Mason Cash mixing bowls, and also occasionally the classic Pyrex Glass mixing bowls
  4. Rolling Pins

The theme of episode three, which airs next Tuesday (September 12) at 8pm, is Bread Week. The remaining 10 bakers will be set three challenges, including an ambitious sculpture showstopper.
