State-of-the-art technology in Henckels’ new knives

Zwilling JA Henckels has introduced a new knife collection which combines the classic values of a Zwilling JA Henckels knife with state-of-the-art new technology.

State-of-the-art technology in Henckels’ new knives

The company has worked closely with Milanese architect and designer Matteo Thun to create the new Twin Profection collection. It comprises eight knives and a sharpening steel, while also available are three Profection knife block sets – six-piece, seven-piece and eight-piece.

The company says that the Profection knife represents what professional chefs and ambitious home cooks around the world appreciate about its knives. For example, the Sigmaforge Profection knife is manufactured from one piece, and the Friodur blade is ice hardened.

The blade geometry raises the bar even higher, according to the company. The wedge-shape blade provides superior stability and an easy cut. The curved bolster is safe for easy handling, and the full cutting edge allows effective cutting from tip to heel. The three-rivet, full-tang black handle is made from a tough synthetic composition.

Retail price 10cm paring knife, £63; 20cm chef’s knife, £100; seven-piece natural wood knife block set, £420
