Housewares manufacturer Alan Silverwood is warning retailers to beware of a “potential scam” involving its bakeware products.
Seven businesses from different parts of the country have each recently received online orders for 100 “fairly large ticket” items of Silverwood bakeware from an email address in Dubai, with a delivery address in Leamington Spa.

The company has alerted the Metropolitan Police Fraud Squad of its concerns.
Alan Silverwood commercial manager Adam Simcox said: “We will keep callers’ details confidential and will not pass on their names to any of the other customers although, if asked, we will pass the information on to the police.”
