Rosebys ‘hopeful of sale’ as more jobs go

The administrators of the Rosebys group of companies have closed a further 32 of the home textile retail chain’s outlets.
As a result, 173 more people have been made redundant.

Joint administrator at KPMG Restructuring Howard Smith said: “We have now closed a total of 73 of the poorer performing stores in order to maximise the chance of a going concern sale.”

The deadline for indicative offers for the business has now expired, and Smith added that the administrators had “received offers from a number of interested parties that relate to a going concern sale.

“We are hopeful of issuing a sale contract shortly and the business will continue to trade during that process.”
