Value retailer Poundland launched its first ever summer sale yesterday (Monday July 31), cutting the price of thousands of product lines to 50p to the end of August.
At the start of this year Poundland said it would continue to sell the huge majority of its items at £1, but would introduce ‘added value with simple price points’ which included 50p. This is the first time they have done just that and will continue to do so at key periods in the year.
Poundland trading director Barry Williams said: “No-one loves a bargain more than Poundland customers and our promise to them is clear: amazing value every day. Our first ever summer sale is yet another example of how we provide customers with that value. Come rain or shine, we are confident this sale event will brighten our customers’ summer!”
Products that will be reduced include summer toys, outdoor living, gardening, clothing, jewellery and selected confectionery for just 50p.
