Electrical and Home Technology sales were down 5%. However, small electricals saw a 2.6% uplift, driven by increased sales of fans buoyed by the hot weather.

Fashion sales were up 12.5%, driven by a price match promotion which saw beauty sales increase 13.1% and women’s shoe sales rise1.5% on last year. The high temperatures also helped lift summer clothing sales by 40%.
