Neil Feakins joins Wilko as customer insights and data director

Wilko has appointed Neil Feakins to the new role of customer insight and data director.

He joins from independent global marketing and media consultancy Ebiquity and reports to Lisa Wilkinson, the family director of parent company Wilkinson Hardware Stores Limited (WHSL).

The retailer said: ‘This new role will rally existing Wilko teams to drive truly fact-based decisions and allows us to provide customers with the right quality products at the right prices.’

Lisa commented: “This is a great appointment for Wilko and further demonstrates our commitment to becoming a business that is more focused on making products that our customers tell us they need.”

The news comes shortly after Wilko announced the appointment of two additional senior recruits. Alex Russo has joined its senior management team as chief financial officer and executive board director for WHSL, and Craig McGregor has joined as retail director of Wilko Retail.

Alex held the post of Asda chief financial officer and an executive director board member for the past five years while Craig brings retail director experience from Topshop/Topman and most recently Specsavers.

Lisa added: “As we prepare for our centenary year in 2030, we have set ourselves some new goals to work towards, and we are committed to making sure that we have the right leadership, skills and experience in place to make this happen.

“We’re pleased to be building such a strong leadership team across our entire business. And having worked closely with Neil over the past few years, I’m delighted he has chosen to join the team and that he will now be even more closely involved in driving our transformation.”
