John Lewis introduces Folklore theme for Christmas

Folklore is the lead Christmas decorating theme for John Lewis for 2017.

The department store group’s Christmas buyer Dan Cooper said: “This year we’ve travelled the world to bring together seven brand new decoration themes. Each is inspired by the fables and traditions of a particular country or region, from Eastern Europe to Ireland.

“We will also be introducing more ‘personalisation’ to stores, from baubles, sacks and wrapping to the brand new Magic Candy Factory, which offers customers the chance to have a selfie transformed into delicious fruit jelly.

“Also this year, tinsel is back! We have worked with our manufacturer in Wales to update the retro decoration.”

Featuring printed and embroidered decorations, Folklore (pictured) is inspired by festive celebrations in Eastern Europe.
