JML launches ‘Inventor’s Day’

JML has launched a nationwide search for the British innovator of the future.

JML launches 'Inventor's Day'

‘Inventor’s Day’ is a competition run by JML inviting Britons to submit a new idea that they believe could be the invention to revolutionise the homes, kitchen, health or beauty fields.

JML’s product development team will host an open day on October 2 where the public will be invited to submit their designs and products. An expert panel will select an overall winner, who will be awarded a ‘once-in-a-lifetime package’, which may include the opportunity to work with JML to develop the product and move towards putting it on sale, receiving royalties from sales through JML’s 5,000 retailers and website and TV channels.

Director of product development Robert Micallef, who will lead the panel, said: “I’m delighted to be at the forefront of this new challenge to find the next generation of product innovators. Great ideas are born from inspiration and from an understanding of classic innovations from the past. Entries that will stand out will be the ideas that bring this to life, and that transcend a brilliant idea from the past into something new for our customers.”

Commenting on the launch, JML ceo Ken Daly said: “With over 27 years of providing British shoppers with the very best, JML is delighted to launch the hunt for the next big seller. As one of Britain’s leading consumer brands, our retailers, website and telly shopping channels are ideally placed to sell and profile the winning creation.”

The closing date for entries for the JML Inventor’s Day is September 20. For more information, visit www.JMLinventors.com.
