Jamie’s Naked Chef house goes on the market

The London house was featured in the first two television series and became memorable for its urban kitchen and spiral staircase. Oliver and his wife Jules lived in the property for the first Naked Chef series in 1999 while filming. For the second series they moved out and the BBC rented the property from the current owners.

Since the Naked Chef the whole property has been re-vamped and extended to maximise the living space. The home now offers the best in-state-of-the-art living, including five plasma screens, one of which is a waterproof screen in the spa bathroom, fibre optic mood lighting, a gym, bespoke kitchen, integral garage and solar panels. The two-bedroom house is on Chequer Street, between the hip Old Street and Clerkenwell, and is only five minutes from Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant.

Zoe Nicholls, spokesperson for agent Stirling Ackroyd, told HousewaresLive.net: “We’re getting applications for the £2m mark at the moment.”

Meanwhile, 18% of home owners recently selected Jamie Oliver as the celebrity they would most like to swap homes with in a survey by mortgage lender First Active.
