Keith Lemon is set to hit the high street in a brand new show where he takes famous faces shopping.
ITV2 has commissioned ‘Shopping With Keith Lemon’: a series of eight 30-minute episodes that follow host Keith (the alter-ego of comedian Leigh Francis, presenter of TV comedy panel game ‘Celebrity Juice’) and his guests as they take to the streets and hit the shops. Along the way, the celebrities will be interviewed by Keith in his own inimitable style.
Airing on ITV2 in June, each episode will see Keith meeting up with two VIPs, before getting to know them better as they go about their respective shopping trips.
The broadcaster said: ‘Providing the perfect opportunity to delve into the shopping habits of the rich and famous, whilst having a good old gossip, Keith and his celebrity friends will be let loose in shops around the UK and overseas, where viewers will get to see how the other half love to spend their money, on everything from beds to hummus.
‘Keith will join celebrities including Spice Girl Mel B, as she heads off on her weekly food shop; pop band Busted, who are on the hunt for a new guitar; and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda Holden, as she travels over the Channel to France on a booze cruise.’
Other big names include Fearne Cotton, Caroline Flack, Rob Beckett, Emily Atack and David Dickinson, with more star shoppers to be announced.
Keith commented: “I’m a shopperholic that likes gossiping! What better way to spend my day than shopping and gossiping with famous people? Perfect job for me!”
