Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA is planning four days of evening house parties and daytime experiences to celebrate its 30th anniversary in the UK.
Billed as ‘The Ultimate House Party’, the events will take place from Wednesday October 18 to Saturday October 21 at 19 Greek Street in central London.
The premises features four floors that have been restored into ‘era-defining barnstorming blowouts’ to give visitors a snapshot of Ikea’s impact in homes from the 1980s to the present day, with a peek into the future.
By day, the floors of the house will take the form of a British living room from the last three decades, with the top floor offering a glimpse into life at home 30 years in the future. By night, partygoers can celebrate life at home with music, TV and games from the different eras.
Completely free of charge, the house is open to all from midday to 6pm. For the evening events, which run from 7pm to 12am, partygoers can register their names on the guest list in advance at
