Swedish home furnishing retailer IKEA announced details today (Monday April 9) of its first-ever range of Bluetooth speakers for the home.
In-store from this month, the ENEBY speakers are available in two sizes (20cm x 20cm & 30cm x 30cm) and come in white, grey and black. They can be mounted on stands, wall brackets or placed in IKEA’s existing KALLAX or EKET storage systems, Additionally, the smaller ENEBY speakers feature a handle and can be fitted with battery packs to make them portable.
Evanthia Nikoglou, sales leader for lighting and electronics at IKEA UK and Ireland, said: “The new ENEBY range is incredibly exciting for us. Sound, just like light, is an important part of creating atmosphere within the home. It is able to bring a space to life and give it soul – which is why we’ve turned our attention to sound and created IKEA’s first ever speakers.”
The small ENEBY speaker will be priced at £45 and the large ENEBY speaker at £80. Stands and battery packs will be priced at £15 and sold separately.
