Up-market kitchen knife supplier Henckels has created a UK office and distribution centre.
The new premises, just off the M25 near St Albans, house the sales, marketing, warehousing, operations and finance functions, as well as a showroom. The company says that it will now be able to supply the complete Henckels product range covering both housewares and beauty sectors, and that its presence in the UK will mean extra investment in the brand.
Hitherto, Henckels knives have been distributed by Dexam. Deliveries and invoices will now come from Henckels, but the company says it will continue to work in partnership with Dexam, which supports the new initiative and will provide sales back-up.
