Harrods Christmas Grotto is invite only

For the first time, Harrods’ annual Christmas Grotto experience is being offered by invitation only, with access restricted to its most loyal Rewards customers.

The Knightsbridge department store sent out email invitations in late August and customers who did not receive one, are not able to attend.

The retailer said: ‘Each year, we are overwhelmed by requests for this special experience, which we make every effort to facilitate. We care hugely about making a visit to the Grotto as magical as possible. Therefore, tickets are extremely limited. Unfortunately, we simply cannot meet the demand. So if you did not receive the invitation e-mail, you are unfortunately not able to attend the Grotto this year.’

Harrods will ‘host Father Christmas and his many visitors in the magical Christmas Grotto. His guests will take a journey through his gingerbread house before being immersed into a storyland filled with imagination. Children of all ages will leave the Harrods Christmas Grotto with memories that last a lifetime.’

The Grotto opens from November 16 to December 24.

The Harrods 2018 Christmas Bear: every year, Harrods introduces a new Christmas Bear in the run up to the festive season. For 2018, it welcomes Oliver to the Harrods family, clothed in a red quilted coat complete with a tartan-lined furry hood
