Grunwerg opened its new London showroom last week, with a special appearance from celebrity chef Michel Roux Jnr and his daughter Emily Roux.
The showroom is located in the Business Design Centre in Islington, and the opening took place during trade show Exclusively Housewares which was under way in the venue at the same time.
Starting with a champagne reception on Tuesday June 13, customers flooded into the showroom to see a six metre wall of Global knives, complemented by a variety of the housewares supplier’s stainless steel products.
The celebrations continued the following morning with a special visit from Michel Roux Jnr and Emily Roux who officially cut the ribbon of the doors to the new venture.
Emily Roux said: ‘‘As a family, we are big fans of Global knives, and think it’s fantastic that there is now a showroom in London to show off the whole range. My dad Michel and I were delighted to be a part of the showroom opening and we wish Grunwerg a lot of success with it in the future.”
Grunwerg director David Grunwerg added: “Last week was very exciting for us. For so long we’ve had a successful showroom at our head office in Sheffield – and now we can efficiently use the London showroom for our customers based down south.
“It’s great that we can show customers/prospects in London our entire range of our Global knives, and also show off our other ranges of tea and coffeeware, as well as our cutlery series. We look forward to growing business in other areas of the UK and hope our customers find the showroom useful.”
