John Lewis department stores has named Dino Rocos as operations director.

Rocos will be responsible for the distribution and merchandising functions, and report to managing director Andy Street.

He takes up the board-level position on August 2 from his current role as director, distribution, which he has held since 2005. Prior to that, he held a number of roles with the retailer including posts in selling and production, having joined the partnership in 1977.

Street said that Rocos was “perfectly placed to ensure distribution and merchandising work together seamlessly”.
