He will also be showcasing Denby’s campaign, entitled ‘Denby is Not Just For …’ The Derbyshire-based company said the aim of this marketing push is to show that ‘Denby brings style to every room: jugs can be used to hold kitchen utensils or flowers, bowls as a beautiful planter for fresh herbs, and serving platters to stylishly display home essentials.’

Denby design director Richard Eaton explained: “When Denby carried out its extensive research to compile our ‘Art of Entertaining Report’ some months ago, what really stood out to us was the change in mindset and buying cycles in buying tableware. It seems that most of us put off the commitment of purchasing a new full set of tableware until those key life stages such as getting married, or buying a new kitchen or home.

“The research highlighted the trend of purchasing ‘by dining occasion’ such as rice bowls or noodle bowls for Asian inspired dishes or small platters for tapas to mix and match with existing tableware in the home.

“Giftable tableware pieces are important in this category, and Denby’s experience and knowledge makes the decision to purchase as easy as possible. Our renowned quality and provenance of hand crafting and decorating skills make compelling gifts.

“Denby has always been ‘Styled by Life’ – evolving its ware to meet the lifestyles of every generation – not only for dining, but to serve many purposes – and enjoyed both in the kitchen and around the home.”

The Spring Fair takes place from February 3 to February 7 at the NEC in Birmingham.
