Cutlacks of Ely wins Charles Viancin Retailer of the Month award

Cutlacks of Ely has been crowned Retailer of the Month for September by Charles Viancin.

The housewares supplier introduced its six month awards programme in May, with the focus on retail customers’ social media activity.

Individual retailers are judged on how well they interact with customers online and the extent of their social media involvement. Over the period, Charles Viancin’s six agents are taking it in turns to nominate a retailer in their area.

The independent home and garden store in Cambridgeshire’s cathedral city was chosen by Charles Viancin’s sales agent for East Anglia, Paul Marchant.

He said: “Cutlacks have been an early embracer of the benefits of social media marketing. [Owner] Arabella [Chambers] also completely understands the necessity of getting fully behind a range, and committing to enough stock in order to convey to her customers her confidence in a product or range.”

Cutlacks of Ely is the fifth winner to be crowned in Charles Viancin’s awards scheme, with only two more winners to be announced before the awards come to an end.It has been presented with prizes and its win has been announced on both the Charles Viancin UK Facebook and Twitter pages.

Previous 2016 winners include: Steamer Trading Cookshop in Horsham, The Gretna Green Foodhall in Scotland, The Wooden Spoon Cookshop in Leek and Cooking Fantastic in Harrogate.
