Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, celebrity interiors and housewares designer, has been confirmed as the latest in an impressive list of speakers for the brand new Housewares Conference.

Celebrity speaker for Housewares Conference

Laurence, who became a household name as one of the stars of television programme Changing Rooms, has several high profile housewares collections including cutlery and tabletop ranges. His latest, Flirtation Lavish tableware, in partnership with conference sponsor Royal Worcester, will launch at next week’s Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham.

Laurence joins a speaker list already bulging with talent and expertise from across the industry, both within the UK and internationally.

Kathy Tierney, ceo of US-chain Sur La Table, will take to the stage, while Maureen Dunn, buying director, home, for the UK’s most respected housewares multiple chain, John Lewis, will be sharing her considerable knowledge.

Ben Phillips, managing director of independent cookshop chain Steamer Trading Cookshop will be putting forward the independent angle and Pepita Diamand, co-founder and retail director of the UK’s largest gift list service Wrapit, will be giving us a specialist’s view of the industry.

The conference, the first all-industry event of its kind, is organised by HousewaresLive.net and Housewares Magazine with the full support of the industry’s two main trade associations, BHETA and the CHA. It takes place on April 1 this year at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London and is open anyone and everyone connected with the housewares industry.
