Black + Blum appoints managing director Nick Cornwell ‘to prepare for growth’

Design-led housewares company Black+ Blum has announced the appointment of Nick Cornwell as managing director.

Based on London’s South Bank in the Oxo Tower complex, the award-winning business was founded by its lead designer Dan Black. Now its 20th year, the supplier enjoys success in the UK and internationally with its Eau Good water bottle collections and Box Appetit food-on-the-go ranges.

Commenting on his new appointment Nick – who was previously managing director of DKB Household UK – said: “it’s a great honour to be partnering with a creative mind of the calibre of Dan. New and exciting products are the lifeblood of our industry, and Dan has a string of great ideas coming through the pipeline.

“I’m looking forward to working with him and the Black + Blum team to build up the brand and our position in these growing market sectors. The timing could not be better.”

Dan added: “Nick brings a wealth of industry experience which I’m sure will be of huge benefit to the business now and in the future.

“His appointment means that I can focus on my passion of innovative product design – hopefully delivering some great products that will be appreciated by our customers all over the world.”

Black + Blum will be showcasing its latest products at the Exclusively Housewares exhibition, which takes place at London’s Business Design Centre on June 12 and June 13.
