BHETA sets date for next Credit Forum

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) will hold its next Credit Forum on March 15.

These thrice-yearly events are growing in popularity, with the most recent – held last November – the best attended ever. Feedback included comments such as “great to share best practices; very informative” from Amefa UK, while The Rayware Group said: “These meetings are invaluable, friendly and food for thought for other areas of the business.”

Targeted at credit and finance professionals, the Forums are open to all BHETA members and aim to provide updates on credit and risk management issues in retail trading. Agendas include the current trading climate, specific retail accounts and how they are performing against trading terms, and topical matters such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as a general overview of the retail sector.

Next month’s event is workshop- and discussion-based and will be co-hosted by Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers and Experian. It starts at 9.30am at BHETA headquarters in Federation House on Vyse Street in Birmingham.

BHETA members who have not previously attended a Credit Forum are invited free of charge on the first occasion. Full Credit Forum membership costs £350 per year for the three sessions.

BHETA housewares sector director Will Jones said: “Being a member of the Credit Forum brings many benefits, not least the latest information – but also mutual support. As with all BHETA events, the networking opportunity always proves valuable as well.”

BHETA members interested in attending should contact Dawn Clarke in the BHETA member services team on 0121 237 1130 or email her at dc@bheta.co.uk.
