The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) will hold its next Credit Forum on Wednesday July 11 at its headquarters in central Birmingham.

Hosted by Experian and Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers, the event is aimed at credit and/or finance professionals, and runs from 10am to 2pm with a buffet lunch.

Topics for discussion are:

*Economic outlook: Bank of England deputy agent for the West Midlands and Oxfordshire Glynn Jones will give an overview of recent performance and the outlook for UK economic growth in the year ahead, covering the implications for inflation and monetary policy. A Q&A session is included;

*Credit insurance updates and companies ‘on the radar’: a roundtable discussion led by Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Sheffield branch director Steve Hamstead;

*Workshop session on customer discount demands and payment extension requests;

*Roundtable discussion of current retail experiences.

BHETA’s Credit Forums are open to all BHETA members. Those who have not previously attended are invited free of charge on the first occasion. A full Credit Forum membership costs £350 per annum for three sessions.

Commenting on the event, BHETA housewares sector director Will Jones said: “Being a member of the Credit Forum brings many benefits, not least the latest information but also mutual support. As with all BHETA events, the networking opportunity always proves valuable as well.”
