BHETA reaches finals of Trade Association Forum awards

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has been shortlisted in two categories of the TAF (Trade Association Forum) Best Practice Awards 2017.

The annual awards recognise, reward and promote best practices amongst trade associations in the UK – and are an opportunity for TAF members to showcase their achievements during the previous 12 to 18 months.

BHETA’s Networking Forum last November, at which Bunnings UK and Ireland managing director PJ Davis made the first public presentation of the UK Bunnings business since its acquisition of Homebase, has been shortlisted for Event of the Year.

The association has also been shortlisted for the Membership Engagement Award.

BHETA home improvement sector director Paul Grinsell commented: “It’s a great honour to be acknowledged amongst our peers and it’s great to be recognised for the level of added value we give to our membership.

“Compliance, advice and practical help are all very important parts of our offer. But the access we enable for our members to add sales at home and abroad really sets us apart. It’s also fantastic for the whole team to have its success recognised in this way.”

BHETA is a leading UK trade association for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors in the housewares, DIY, garden and home improvement markets. It represents £9 billion at retail sales and over 11,000 employees.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday July 12 at Drapers Hall in London, coinciding with TAF’s Annual Conference.

The TAF Awards are formally supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
