Belleek Pottery is to set up its own direct sales, marketing and distribution operation in the US.
The Irish manufacturer of tableware and giftware is looking to the American market for significant export sales growth.
Belleek products have for the last 20 years been sold in the US market through a distributor, but as of April 1 the company will have its own operation in Virginia.
The move is reported to represent an investment of €556,000 in staff and facilities.
