Arnotts to introduce John Lewis own-brand Home products for the first time in Ireland

Dublin department store Arnotts has concluded an exclusive agreement to introduce John Lewis own-brand Home products to its store this Autumn.

This will be the first time that John Lewis own-brand Home products will be available in Ireland, launching in-store on October 6.

The agreement with John Lewis marks the first major new brand initiative for Arnotts since the business was acquired by the Selfridges Group in November 2015.

The new range, which will form part of Arnotts’ existing and extensive homeware offering, will comprise products across bed, bath, cook and dine, furniture and lighting. The collection will also be available at arnotts.ie.

Commenting on the news, Arnotts managing director Donald McDonald said: “We’re delighted to introduce John Lewis own-brand Home products to our customers. The new range will enhance Arnotts’ existing position as the largest and only full-line department store in Ireland. We look forward to introducing other exciting new brands to Arnotts over the coming months.”

John Lewis home buying director Christine Kasoulis added: “We’re really pleased to be debuting John Lewis own brand Home and lifestyle products within Arnotts department store in Ireland.

“This is a great opportunity to bring the John Lewis Home assortment to our existing customer base in Ireland, as well as new customers who are looking for great quality and inspiring products for their home.’

Founded in 1843, Arnotts is Ireland’s oldest and largest department store. Occupying a prime site on Henry Street, one of the busiest shopping thoroughfares in the capital’s city centre, the retailer offers a comprehensive selection of merchandise ranging from housewares, electrical goods, fashion, furniture, jewellery and cosmetics to footwear, sportswear and childrensware. It also includes several cafes and five restaurants, plus an in-store barber, nail bar and travel department.

Arnotts, which directly employs about 570 staff with an additional 600 working in concession partners, is a member of the Selfridges Group: an award-winning international portfolio of department stores which includes Brown Thomas in Ireland, Holt Renfrew in Canada, Selfridges & Co in the UK, and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands.

John Lewis operates 46 John Lewis shops across the UK (32 department stores, 12 John Lewis At Home stores and shops at St Pancras International and Heathrow Terminal 2) as well as johnlewis.com.
