Argos reports that this week is proving to be of its busiest ever for sales of fans.
Yesterday (Tuesday June 20) the retailer’s website saw 101 searches for fans every minute, with 92,000 units sold.
Argos commented: ‘The good news is we still have stock – we have tens of thousands of units which we’re working hard to push out to stores after such a strong few days.’
The top five selling lines across the whole of Argos last week comprised two fans, two paddling pools and play sand.
The 10ft Quick Up Pool and Cover Set was the best-selling line by value across the whole business, with the Chad Valley Family Paddling Pool also featuring in the top five
Garden furniture sales were up almost 100%, BBQ sales soared by 135% and outdoor toys sales rocketed by almost 200%.
