13 companies win IHA Global Innovation Awards for product design

Thirteen housewares suppliers have been named as Global Honorees of in the International Housewares Association’s (IHA) Global Innovation Awards (gia) for product design.

The winners were announced at a dinner during the 2018 International Home + Housewares Show, which ends tomorrow (Tuesday March 13) at McCormick Place at Chicago.

The Global Honorees are:

Bath + Personal Care:  Joseph Joseph – flex – toilet brush

Cleaning: Jascor Housewares – Ta Da Over the Sink Drying Mat

Cook + Bakeware: The Fulham Group – Cuisinart Venture Portable Gas Grill

Home Décor + Gifts: Eva Solo – Eva Solo Globe Watering Can

Home Organization + Storage: Travelon – LockDown Cut-Proof Bag

Household Electrics + Home Environment: Joseph Joseph – Titan – trash compactor

Kitchen Electrics: Jura – JURA S8

Kitchen Hand Tools + Cutlery: Dreamfarm – Fledge flip edge cutting board

Kitchenware: That Inventions – ThawTHAT Deluxe

Personal Care: Simplehuman – sensor mirror compact

Pet Products: Jascor Housewares- Messy Mutts Travel Water Bottle & Bowl

Smart Home: PLOTT – Cubit

Tabletop: Promeco – Calido

IHA president and ceo Phil Brandl said: “Congratulations to these winners. They are excellent representatives of the cutting-edge innovation and creativity that is driving the housewares industry today.”

Almost 500 products were entered into the IHA Global Innovation Awards (gia) competition. The 65 finalists in all categories are featured in the New Product Showcases in the Buyers Club in each building of the Show.

The 2018 International Home + Housewares Show opened on Saturday (March10) and features more than 2,200 exhibitors including over 400 new companies.
